Yacht and Boat Detailer Job Description

Job Title: Boat detailers. Part time seasonal
Department: Charter division
Start date: Spring 2009

Report to: Charter Base Manager
Hours of Work: Spring to Fall. 40 hour week. No overtime. Shift work including weekends and evenings.
Salary: $10 per hour with no experience plus three company T shirts for standard company uniform. Experience detailers’ hourly rate to be negotiated.
Overall responsibility: To ensure that every charter boat is cleaned and prepared to the company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Must know, practice and ensure that company policies and procedures and state or federal laws are followed at all times.
• Make sure customers receive prompt, efficient and courteous attention from all employees.
• Will perform a variety of boat cleaning tasks such as (but not limited to) wash interior and exterior of boat, line detailer, polisher or buffer, vacuum and shampoo carpets, interior cleaning and detailing, window cleaning, and any other tasks as assigned by Charter Base Manager to prepare boats for charter.
• Maintain good operating condition of equipment and facilities.
• Advise Charter base Manager of all equipment breakdowns, maintenance and stock needs immediately.
• Practice and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.
• Make sure that the detailing area conditions do not pose a threat to the safety of customers or employees.
• Respond to and follow proper procedures on employee and customer accidents, injuries, or loss or damage of property.
• Advise Charter Base Manager immediately of all incidents or unsafe conditions.

Educational Requirements and Qualifications:

• Preferably High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Must have own transport and preferably possess a valid driver license.

Physical Requirements:

Constant - stooping, reaching, walking, standing, fingering, grasping, talking, hearing, sitting, crouching, feeling, lifting, repetitive motion Frequent - kneeling, pushing

Physical Working Condition:

This position is subject to inside and outside environmental working conditions including temperature changes and outside weather conditions. We use environmentally friendly cleaning chemicals.
