Basic Power Boating   
Learn to safely operate a power vessel over 5.5 metres powered by an engine over 75 hp. The course objective is to be able to power boat safely in moderate wind and sea conditions.

Topics covered include:

• Safety
• Docking
• Basic navigation
• Emergency procedures
• Knots
• Weather

Course format:

• 1 evening lecture (6.30 pm – 9 30 pm) week day
• 2 days on the water combined with some classroom instruction (9 am -  5 pm) Saturday or Sunday
• On successful completion of the course, students will earn the CYA Basic Power certification.
  
  No prerequisite.

Course fee $499.00 per person +tax
