Basic Sailing Course (CYA)   - Evenings & week end days

  Basic Sailing Instruction

  The course objective is to be able to cruise safely in familiar waters as both     skipper and crew of a SAILING YACHT of up to  10 meters in length  in moderate wind and sea  conditions by day. Topics covered include:

  • Sailing Safety
  • Docking
  • Sail handling
  • Emergency procedures
  • Knots
  • Weather

  Course format:
  3 evening lectures (6.30 pm -  9 30 pm) week days
  3 days on the water (9 am -  5 pm) Saturday or Sunday.

  On successful completion of the course, students will earn the CYA Basic Cruising certification.

No prerequisite.
Course fee $699.00 per person + tax
